Whole Lotta Nothin'

Well, I started off the new year by getting bucked off a horse.

I was at my mom's on New Year's Eve. We were drinking beer by a big bonfire when my mom and I decided to go visit her miniature ponies. We hung out with the ponies a while and then decided it would be fun for me to ride her mare bareback. In the dark.

{incase your parents never told you, you tend to make poor decisions under the infulence of alcohol}

So, as soon as my butt hits this horses back she starts bucking like crazy. Once I realized she wasn't calming down anytime soon I kind of rolled off her back to the side so I wouldn't land weird and break a wrist or my tailbone or something. I landed on my stomach, got the wind knocked out of me, hurt my shoulder and pulled a lower abdominal muscle I didn't know was there. While I was still laying on the ground my drunk mother ran over to me and said, "Oh, no! Are you dirty?"

Why yes, Mom. Yes, I am. But, more importantly, I'm NOT DEAD!!

Anyway, I thought it was kind of fitting to end the year that way. Symbolic, if you will. I ended 2011 getting bucked off a horse and I started 2012 by getting up, dusting myself off and laughing.

My mom swears I stayed on eight seconds. :)

How crazy is it that my cousin, who I am very close to, and my best friend both had twin baby girls within three weeks of each other?

Emma Kate and Lila Grace...

Arianna Jaymes and Kennedy Elizabeth...

These four peanuts have stolen my heart. How darling are they??

-------------------------------------------

How have I lived thirty two years without discovering Thirty One??

One of my friends got me this make-up bag for Christmas and now I'm obsessed. I want everything.

Guess who got a phone...

Yes, she's too young. I don't know what I'm thinking. Lex didn't get a phone til she was twelve. But, so far she's handling it really well. She knows she has to turn it off and put it on the kitchen table every night at 8:00 and she does it without being told. I like it because it gives me leverage. "Put up your laundry or you'll lose your phone for a day." "Quit fighting with your sister or you'll lose your phone for a day." "Rub my back or you'll lose your phone for a day." It's a great parenting tool, really. :)

Look what I ordered for our front door...

I had a razorback added to the zebra heart. I should get it in a couple days and I can't wait.

Have a blessed weekend, friends. :)

First time to leave a comment to you but I have to say I love the falling off the horse and picking yourself up again especially on New Years. You go girl!
Also 31 is addicting, my SIL sells it which makes it way too easy to buy! I do love it though.
