Tis the Season

The girls and I had a nice Christmas full of fun, family and lots of gifts we didn't need. We are blessed.

{Christmas Eve Eve} My brother and I went to see a really fun band called Big Smith.

{Christmas Eve} We always go to my Mom's house on Christmas Eve. She makes a yummy dinner, including my personal favorite...homemade twice baked potatoes. Between me and my step-sisters, we have eight kids. So, needless to say it is VERY loud and chaotic!! But, I love it. We have lots of fun.

Then the girls and I came home and settled in for the night. We layed in my bed, drank hot chocolate, watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid and read The Night Before Christmas.

{Christmas Morning} The girls and I woke up, opened presents, had pancackes and watched The Grinch for a little while before we had to get ready to head over to my uncle's house for lunch. I am so bad at taking pictures these days. I didn't take any Christmas morning. Lex took one of all her Hello Kitty loot. The kid is obsessed.

Kelsey cracked me up...of all the things she opened Christmas morning her favorite thing was a Crest Spinbrush that came with stickers so you can decorate it yourself. She immediately got it out and started decorating it. I guess it's good that she is easy to please.

{Christmas Day} We headed over to my uncle's house for a yummy lunch with my dad's side of the family. They had this cajun soup called "Brew" and it was seriously THE best thing I've ever eaten in. my. life. Seriously. Besides the great food, we hung out with family and enjoyed each other's company. Especially this guy...

Our sweet Pappy. Unless there is some miracle, this will be his last Christmas. I sat my him, held his hand and thanked God for that day with him.

Here's a picture of Lexi and her Uncle Caleb...

I've always thought they look alike. Maybe it's because she looks like me and I look like him?? :)

{Christmas Night} I took the girls to Joplin to meet their dad. So, I came home and cried enjoyed a night to myself. Well, me and Mollie.

I hope all of you had a very blessed Christmas. I'm so thankful for my girls, our family and all of our blessings.
